Over the past year and a half, the Just Prepare Living Lab, located in the Bospolder Tussendijken neighbourhood of Rotterdam, has been working alongside various key partners from BoTu Aardgasvrij to find an answer to the question: How can we highlight the impact we are achieving, together with residents, as part of the BoTu Aardgasvrij initiative?
This question led to the creation of an impact booklet. The booklet itself provides the answer to the question: a collection of real-life stories, insights and lessons from the neighbourhood. The booklet was produced with input from the City of Rotterdam, the Havensteder housing association, the energy company Eneco, the Language and Environment Coaches from the Pauw Foundation, De Verbindingskamer, VVE-010 and the House of the Future.
In this booklet, you can read their real-life stories, which illustrate how collaboration within and with the neighbourhood is taking shape as part of the energy transition. These stories are intended to inspire policymakers, civil servants and professionals who are working, or are about to start working, in other neighbourhoods. And for anyone who wants to tackle the energy transition not only from a technical perspective, but above all from a social one.
You will also read about the building blocks of this collaboration: the key elements, skills and attitudinal aspects. The booklet concludes with a series of short interviews with the women behind this collaboration.
The booklet was presented at the Botu Aardgasvij closing conference on 25 June. You can download the impact booklet at the bottom of this page.
