Looking Back at Learning Lab 7: From Theory to Action in the Local Energy Transition

On February 11, researchers and industry partners gathered at the Urban Energy Institute at TU Delft for the seventh Just Prepare Learning Lab. Led by chairperson Sietske Veenman, the session focused on the question of how we can shape the local energy transition in a way that is both effective and equitable. Following introductions by Professor Henk Visscher and researcher Thaleia Konstantinou, the approximately 35 attendees actively engaged with the interim research findings.

A major part of the afternoon was devoted to refining the thematic agenda, which consists of ten themes derived from the experiences within our four Living Labs. The focus then shifted to the practical applicability of the research, based on eleven draft guidelines. Because scientific research can sometimes be abstract, these guidelines translate the insights into concrete tools for professionals.

In this final phase of the Just Prepare project, we are currently working hard to further develop and refine the thematic agenda and the guidance documents. Once finalized, these will be widely published so that they are accessible to everyone working on the local energy transition.
