On 11 November, the premiere of the documentary on the natural gas-free transition in Bospolder Tussendijken (BotU) took place. The room was filled with residents, students, representatives of municipalities, social organisations and researchers. This turnout shows that there is a great deal of interest in the question: What does a social energy transition require from a neighbourhood and from professionals?
The documentary shows how residents, local organisations and authorities in BoTu have been working together for years to create a natural gas-free neighbourhood. It is an honest and personal portrait of a neighbourhood in transition: about ambitions, tensions, trust and the power of community. It shows how everyone can and wants to be included in this major change. Just Prepare researcher and project leader Imrat Verhoeven also speaks in the documentary, discussing the research.
